 Integrated Management Strategies

– Control Blood Sugar: Regular monitoring, medication adherence, low-glycemic diet, exercise.

– Eat a Heart-Healthy Diet: High fiber, healthy fats, limit saturated/trans fats, control portions.

– Exercise Regularly: 150 minutes moderate activity; strength training twice weekly.

– Monitor Blood Pressure: Low sodium, exercise, no smoking, take medications.

– Manage Cholesterol: Omega-3s, exercise, statins if prescribed.

– Quit Smoking.

– Limit Alcohol (≤1 drink/day women, ≤2 men).

– Manage Stress.

– Get Regular Medical Check-ups.
